Tobias Cummings joins the dots

Tobias Cummings (and the Long Way Home) release their debut album, Join The Dots, on Oct. 14th 2006.
Produced by Tim Whitten (The Go-Betweens, Underground Lovers, Art of Fighting), Join the Dots was recorded directly to two-inch tape, the old way, with a minimum of fuss and bother and no computer interference.
You may have heard the track, Sunny Disposition (or seen the video), which offers a tempting introduction to the subtle but compelling charm of the new album.

Amaya Laucirica joins the club

It took us a long time to learn to spell her name properly, but only moments to fall in love with her music. Amaya (and her crack band) sent In-Fidelity a demo some time ago that quickly became glued to the office stereo. Like all great music, it was hard to define. Imagine an Ernest Tubb waltz blending with the first Velvets' album with dreamy/ethereal vocals that made the biting lyrics so much sharper.
Whcih brings us to the point of this news item - we're going to work together and make some amazing records.

New director joins In-Fidelity

Effective immediately - Colin Daniels has joined In-Fidelity as co-director of the label with Bruce Milne. Colin's long (and impressive) history within, and knowledge of, the music industry will be a tremendous asset for the label. But getting him to pose for a photo might take a while.

In-Fidelity vs Witch Hats

There goes their indy cred! Witch Hats and In-Fidelity have joined forces. If you haven't heard (nor seen) them yet, you need to.
As Beat mag said: "Witch Hats are probably the best new band in Melbourne right now, if not Australia (and perhaps also the universe). The filthiness and the creepiness of their sound is full of conviction, and a reluctance to conform to any standards set by any of their Melbourne 'indie' counterparts; they don't give a fuck. They know they're more real than most."
Witch Hats EP, Wound Of A Little Horse, will be released in mid-November.
