CAPITAL CITY consisting of founding members Sam Scherr and Chris Pierucci along with recent inductess Jake Snell and Kate Mills - are Western Australia’s favourite exponants of punk-rock rhythm and blues. The four-piece has just come out of Blackbird Studios recording the debut Capital City album, Bad Money, with WAMi award-winning producer Dave Parkin (The Panda Band, Red Jezebel, Snowman). Bad Money, will be out early 2007 through In-Fidelity Recording (via Inertia).

For those who came in late to the whole Capital City story, this Australian band fronted by a diminutive Israeli-born, Washington-raised Western Australian-based ball of energy, started in Perth in 2000. Their first EP “The God-Botherin’ Years”, recorded by Dr Alien Smith at Bergerk Studios in 2002, received great support from public radio and demon sales from the public. This release saw them win the WAMi award for Most Popular WA Punk Act and tour nationally with Aussie garage rock legends The Stems on their re-union tour at the start of 2003. The second EP, "Capital City vs The Bangkok Lady Boys", also a Bergerk! product, was another collection of tracks celebrating love, life, hate, death and Thai dudes who decide to the contrary.
